ALGARVE SPRING RUNNING CAMP, FALESIA, PORTUGAL
MARCH, 7-14 and 14-21, 2026
Welcome to the website our spring running camps in the Algarve. As in 2025 we will be offering two separate weeks of the camp in 2026, March 7-14 and March 14-21. You can book either week or both. Both weeks follow the same format although there will be slight differences in the coaching team and the content on each week. We expect to have 70 to 80 runners on each week and we would expect the camp to sell out some time in advance, so don't delay if you are thinking of joining us in 2026.
If you are unfamiliar with the camp, it follows a very simple formula: warm spring weather, a great variety of running routes, a friendly environment and an expert, enthusiastic coaching team. It is no wonder these camps have become the biggest and most successful overseas endurance running camp for UK athletes.
Whatever standard of runner you are, you'll be amazed at the progress you can make in a week of focused training with a supportive coaching team and other runners just like you. The programme is basically two running sessions a day plus afternoon yoga, pilates or core-fitness sessions as well as evening seminars, talks and social events. You can do as much or as little as you like. There are no compulsory sessions, everything is open to everyone so just pick and choose what you want to do.
The camp is friendly, inclusive and genuinely caters for all standards of runners, whether you are trying to win a marathon - one of 2023 campers won the Brighton Marathon a month after the camp - or simply taking the first steps towards a debut 5K. If you have a non-running partner more interested in lying on the beach that running along it, they will be welcome too. There is plenty of downtime between the training to relax beside the pool, stroll on the beach and enjoy the local shops, cafes and restaurants.
With up to 80 runners on each week, you will see a range of running abilities, experiences and goals on display among the group. The runners are often a mix of small groups, couples and increasingly a large number of singletons. While we usually have a large number of returning customers on the camp there are always plenty of newcomers too. We have a specific programme designed for first-timers to help them orientate to the surroundings, meet other runners and ensure they always have someone to run with.
There is one significant change for 2026 and that is the training camp is now on an all inclusive basis. The AP Victoria hotel, our base for the week, is no longer offering bed and breakfast options for groups such as ours.
